Overview
The Department of Human Genetics is one of 26 departments in Emory
University School of Medicine. By our very nature, our department is
unique for its direct focus on human health and disease. All current
faculty members directly investigate a hereditary disease, ranging from
metabolic disorders to chromosomal diseases. Some faculty explore the
mechanism of disease using cells or tissue from affected patients while
others in the department directly interact with patients to conduct
clinical research projects.
