Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Roscoe Brady
An internationally acclaimed scientist, Dr. Roscoe Brady has dedicated most of his research career to unveiling the mysteries surrounding lysosomal storage disorders. His accomplishments include identifying the metabolic defects in lipid storage disorders such as Gaucher, Niemann-Pick, Fabry, and Tay-Sachs disease. He and his coworkers were responsible for establishing the effectiveness of enzyme replacement therapy in Gaucher disease. He is truly a legend in the field of lysosomal storage disease research.

Established in 1993, Emory’s Lysosomal Storage Disease Center in Atlanta, Georgia provides diagnostic, evaluation, management, and treatment services for affected children and adults from all over the Southeastern United States. The Emory Lysosomal Storage Disease Center is devoted to remaining on the cutting edge of research and treatment, and to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for patients affected by lysosomal storage diseases.
