Welcome to the

Emory Down Syndrome Clinic

Down Syndrome in Atlanta
Each year approximately 60-80 babies with Down syndrome are born to families in the metropolitan Atlanta area. A similar number are born throughout the rest of Georgia. For parents seeking to understand the diagnosis of Down syndrome and provide the best for their child, we are pleased to offer the Down Syndrome Clinic at Emory University as a resource.

The Emory Down Syndrome Clinic
The Emory Down Syndrome Clinic schedules initial visits for children from birth to five years who have a confirmed diagnosis of Down syndrome. Each family's visit is a private appointment. The clinic team includes physicians and staff who have extensive experience in genetics and development with an emphasis on the needs of individuals with Down syndrome and their families. These appointments are not designed to replace regular pediatric care but to provide an opportunity for parents to become familiar with Down syndrome and to discuss their questions and concerns in a family-centered environment.
